Sound Character: Very energetic, cutting and defined with good overall responsive feel. Fairly wide range, clean mix with a nice layer of warmth. A very solid hi-hat for all-purpose Rock settings.

Sound Character: Bright, full, energetic. Medium range with a fairly clean mix. Heavy, explosive feel. Massive crash with cutting power and projection. Well suited for higher volume musical settings. Well suited for crash/ride type playing patterns.



20" Rock Ride

Stick Sound: pronounced, balanced, strong

Bell Character: fully integrated
Sound Character: Bright, full, cutting. Clear and focused. Medium range and strong mix. Glassy ping over constant, massive wash. Very controllable ride with good responsive feel, well suited for higher volume musical settings.

















Introduction:2005
Tradition:Over 70 years ago, Paiste started producing cymbals by means of traditional hand craftsmanship using a defined sound concept and strict quality standards - a pioneering accomplishment that has substantially determined today's standards for cymbals. Today, Paiste is the only first rate cymbal manufacturer who still uses this ancient method exclusively for cymbals in the professional class.
Quality:We cultivate the meticulous process of crafting cymbals by hand in our Swiss production facility. This is the basis for our deep knowledge and experience about the nature of cymbal shape and structure that lead to a gratifying sound.
Sound:For the manufacture of affordable cymbals with ample quality we use modern, hi-tech production techniques in our German production facility. The decisive objective in this effort is the successful transfer of the spirit and essence of our Swiss knowledge about sound to such manufacturing methods.

We therefore primarily strive for the successful realization of the hand manufacture achievements in our modern, technical production. We are pioneers in this field as well, based on our 25 year experience with technological production.
Technology:We occupy ourselves continuously and intensively with the application of modern technology and the development of technological processes. Thanks to modern digital technology, we have now achieved a breakthrough which permits us a significant improvement in the transfer Swiss principles concerning shape, structure and sound to our German production process.
Value:The results of these intensive efforts are our new Paiste Sound Technology cymbals - PST 3 and PST 5. With these series we present affordable cymbals with never before realized sound quality and professional appearance.

Paiste Sound Technology cymbals are the perfect starting point to enter the incomparable world of Paiste sound.
PST5:For the manufacture of PST 5 cymbals we use the same high-grade bronze alloy as in our professional class, which became famous through our 2002 series. The combination of this sonorous bronze with the new production method provides drummers with new sound dimensions, and due to the rich program, with numerous possibilities to design an individual cymbal set.
