According to his specifications, Hohner has designed a new and even more sophisticated instrument for traditional Alpine folk music, based on the new developments in the Morino series which were introduced in 2001. The new finish is especially eye-catching. Depending on the angle at which light falls on it, the accordion shimmers with a discreet but exciting play of colours which defies description. It has to be seen to be believed!
From the musical standpoint, the Slavko Avsenik Morino has been optimized for the requirements of Alpine folk music by replacing the traditional double octave tuning with a double tremolo, which helps the sound to cut through much better, especially on stage. This also applies to the bass register, which has been fitted with a powerful angle bass. Inside the instrument, the tried and tested Morino technology has been adopted unchanged, so that the player gets the benefit of the high-quality and extremely easy-action keyboard as well as all the ergonomic innovations which characterize the current Morino series.
